Service Control Points/Databases. 9.5.1 Definition 9.5.1.1 Databases are the Network Elements that provide the functionality for storage of, access to, and manipulation of information required to offer a particular service and/or capability. Databases include, but are not limited to: Local Number Portability, LIDB, Toll Free Number Database, Automatic Location Identification/Data Management System, Calling Name Database, access to Service Creation Environment and Service Management System (SCE/SMS) application databases and Directory Assistance.
