Service of Notice to Non-Renew or Terminate the Contract. Whenever a teacher is to be given written notice of a proposed non-renewal or termination of his/her contract, service of written notice shall be as follows: 1. By delivering a copy of the written notice to the teacher personally; or 2. In situations where a teacher to be served cannot after diligent efforts be served personally, by registered mail to the last official address filed by such teacher in the Human Resources Office. Such mailed service shall be considered sufficient and in full compliance with lawful requirements.
