Common use of SEVERALTY Clause in Contracts

SEVERALTY. In the event the Premises are rented to more than one individual, each of them shall be JOINTLY AND SEVERALLY LIABLE for the performance of the terms and conditions of this lease. Each individual Lessee understands and acknowledges that there is joint and several responsibility with respect to the total leased Premises and, accordingly, must exercise responsibility to see that the entire unit is used in compliance with this Agreement.
