Common use of Sick Leave Grant Extends to or Beyond Retirement Date Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Grant Extends to or Beyond Retirement Date. If the sick leave grant carries the employee to or beyond the approved retirement date, the employee shall be retired upon being declared fit to return to work, or upon expiration of the sick leave grant, whichever comes first. The employee shall be given a cash payment in lieu of any outstanding vacation entitlement up to normal retirement date [see Subsection 15.1(2.) preceding], plus a bonus of one month's pay [if applicable, see Subsection 15.1(1.)].
