A facility licensed by the state or in a unit within a Hospital, other than a nursing home, that provides: ◼ Inpatient medical care, treatment, and skilled nursing care as defined by Medicare and which meets Medicare’s requirements for this type of facility; ◼ Full-time supervision by at least 1 Physician or Registered Nurse; ◼ Twenty-four-hour nursing service by Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses; and ◼ Utilization review plans for all patients.
