Social Skills. Social skills, such as tactfulness, empathy, readiness to help, raising interest, giving encouragement and monitoring, are essential for conducting intakes and giving information and guidance to patients and relatives. • Social skills are also important in the context of transferring knowledge and skills to, as well as working with, colleagues and third parties involved in the care process as well as in coordinating contacts with doctors and other healthcare providers.
