Common use of Special Access Clause in Contracts

Special Access. VERIZON will charge special access rates from the applicable VERIZON intrastate access tariff. DS1 charges will be reduced to reflect the proportionate share of the facility that is used for transport of Local Traffic originated by VERIZON. The Parties will negotiate an initial factor representative of the proportionate share of the facilities. This factor will be updated quarterly in like manner or as the Parties otherwise agree. Subject to mutual agreement of the Parties, the Parties may agree to interconnect utilizing alternative interconnection arrangements, e.g., Optical Networking or MetroLAN.
