Staff Development Funds Clause Samples
The Staff Development Funds clause establishes a provision for allocating financial resources to support the professional growth and training of employees. Typically, this clause outlines the types of activities or programs eligible for funding, such as workshops, conferences, or continuing education courses, and may specify application procedures or annual limits. Staff Development Funds. 11A Bargaining unit members shall be allowed to participate in projects to be funded from AB 1725 staff development funds carried over from prior years until such funds are exhausted. Upon exhaustion of such funds this program will cease, provided however if the State restores funding to the program, the District will restore the program, including the staff development advisory committee set forth in the 2009-11 Agreement. Staff Development Funds. Each staff member will receive $500 in staff development funds which may be used for professional development activities, National Board Certification, Professional Certification, clock hours, and publications, with the approval of the building principal.
Staff Development Funds. 1. All teachers shall be eligible to apply for Staff Development Funds to attend conferences or workshops in their teaching field. Any teacher receiving these funds will also be granted leave to attend the conferences or workshops.
2. Staff Development Funds may be used to cover the cost of registration fees, lodging, and travel. The fund will not be used to cover the cost of tuition for credit hours received at the conference.
Staff Development Funds. Recognizing the importance of professional development for the growth of its employees, the College shall provide a $15,000 Professional Development Fund (starting July 1, 2006) for classified staff to support both full and part-time staff development activities related to their job responsibilities or objectives, and/or beneficial with respect to the functions and goals of the College. Effective July 1, 2021, the following changes shall become effective:
1. The College shall increase this fund by 1% for each year of the contract.
2. Applications for the following distributions can be made until the funds are exhausted:
a. Employees in their initial probation period may apply for up to $500 in professional development funds.
b. Full and part-time classified may apply for up to $1,000 each per year.
c. The College may apply for up to ten percent (10%) of the Professional Development Fund contributions to be used for training for all-staff or groups of staff members each fiscal year.
3. A Staff Development Committee shall be established with three (3) classified staff members, selected by the Association to evaluate applications, develop rules of use and criteria which will be mutually agreeable to the ACEUCC and the College. The Committee will manage the professional development funds for the benefit of classified employees, will authorize the expenditure of funds, and will make reports back to the Association regarding the usage of funds.
Staff Development Funds. The lack of funds in a Building Staff Development account shall not preclude the District obligations under this section.
