Standard Work Hours Plan. Standard work hours plans will be based on an annual framework of 1950 hours per year and 37.5 hours per week. Consideration for hours worked should be given to the core hours of the position and the regular operating hours of the University and unit, as outlined in the member’s letter of offer. Given the flexible nature of the work, employees may flex their time to balance the evolving needs of the University and personal life responsibilities. In order to meet these needs, employees may accumulate up to a maximum of fifteen (15) hours of flex time without explicit approval from their supervisor. The accrued time and the time taken will be reported to the supervisor on a monthly basis. Any additional time accumulated above the fifteen (15) hours will not receive compensation in the form of time off with pay or additional pay unless approved by the supervisor. Normally this approval will occur in advance of the time being accumulated. Unit policies for time away need to be considered and adhered to.
