Starting a Chapter Sample Clauses

Starting a Chapter. A. In Preparation 1. Gauge Interest Chapters need a substantial number of members to sustain them. Local organizers must start by working with the MIA Executive Vice President to assess whether there is sufficient interest of MIA members in their area (typically 25-30 companies are needed). The MIA Membership Committee has the authorization to determine whether or not a local area will support and sustain a chapter. Start by contacting the MIA HQ office to ascertain how many MIA members are in the local area. The MIA will send an email to members and non-members in the region asking if people are interested. In addition to current MIA members, make a list of other people who are not yet MIA members.
