The "Starting the Project" clause defines when and how work on a project officially begins under the contract. Typically, it specifies the conditions that must be met before commencement, such as receipt of a signed agreement, initial payment, or provision of necessary information by the client. This clause ensures both parties are clear about the trigger for project initiation, preventing misunderstandings about when obligations and timelines start.
Starting the Project. Contractor shall not commence actual construction activity at the site prior to the date of commencement indicated in the Notice to Proceed without written authorization from the County.
