Station Management. Software shall allow for remote updates using the charging station’s wireless network connection. • Network shall provide remote diagnostics, proactive station monitoring, and troubleshooting features that prevent the need for service calls to the charging station for diagnosis and minimize station downtime. • Network shall provide ability to remote start the charging station. • Software shall be capable of providing energy analysis and management strategies to help reduce peak demand costs. • Station shall utilize energy management protocols such as Open ADR 2.0b, Zigbee Smart Energy V2.0, or SEP 2.0. • The charging station interface shall include the following: o Ability to start or stop a charging session. o Support multiple user-selectable languages, including,: English, French, and Spanish for Level II stations. • Using an app, the EV driver interface shall give users the ability to: o View and find charging stations on the ChargePoint app. o View the status of the charging station including its availability and operational status. o Reserve a charging station if reservations are enabled on the station. o View a history of all charging sessions at various locations. o Set up a pre-paid billing account to pay for charging. o Manage multiple accounts online. • The software shall provide a notification mechanism such as an app notification or a Short Message Service (SMS) to EV drivers on charging events such as charging complete, plug out, GFCI fault or demand fault event. • The software shall include an optional wait list or queue management function that allows drivers to reserve a space in a virtual queue and is notified when a station is made available. • Equipment/software administrator interface shall include: o Ability to view all charging sessions at the charging stations owned by the service provider (e.g. the State). o Ability to view inventory and status of all charging stations. o Ability to configure stations to restrict or modify access to specific drivers or specific groups of drivers, and the ability to identify drivers connected to the stations. o Ability to create, modify or delete various pricing options for charging on the stations. o Ability to view energy usage and greenhouse gas (GHG) savings on all charging stations owned by the service provider. o Ability to set and accept reservations on charging stations. • The software shall provide comprehensive reporting capability available to both EV drivers and EV service providers. • Th...
