STATUS AS AN ANNUITY CONTRACT. On the Contract Date, this Contract is intended to qualify as an "annuity contract" under the Code. Accordingly, all provisions of this Contract shall be interpreted and administered in accordance with the requirements of Code section 72(s) and other relevant Code sections. In no event shall any payment be deferred beyond the time limits permitted by Code section 72(s). The Company reserves the right to amend this Contract to comply with requirements set out in the Code and regulations and rulings thereunder, as may exist from time to time.
