Status of an Employee Upon Resignation or Retirement. Employees who resign or retire give up permanent status and employment rights with the City, except as otherwise provided by the Personnel Rules, the Personnel Ordinance, or other Policy & Procedures or Administrative Directives or other provisions of this MOU or relevant state or federal laws dealing with personnel matters. Employees who resign are expected to provide reasonable notice (usually two weeks) of their intent to resign and must be physically present and actively at work up through their date of termination.
