Common use of Stoppage or Abandonment Clause in Contracts

Stoppage or Abandonment. The School District may order the MEP Engineer, in writing, to stop or abandon all or any part of its Services for the Project, for the convenience of the School District, or for work stoppages beyond the control of the School District or the MEP Engineer. Any increased costs incurred as a result of the stoppage or abandonment of the Project shall be an equitable amount determined by the School District and the MEP Engineer in view of all the facts and circumstances. If, however, the Project is abandoned, the School District shall pay the MEP Engineer for all Services performed and Reimbursable Expenses incurred to the date of abandonment in accordance with Paragraph 14.1, Termination for Convenience, of this Contract.
