Common use of Stoppage or Abandonment Clause in Contracts

Stoppage or Abandonment. The School District may order the Environmental Consultant, in writing, to stop or abandon all or any part of its Services for the assigned Project(s), for the convenience of the School District, or for work stoppages beyond the control of the School District or the Environmental Consultant. Any increased costs incurred as a result of the stoppage or abandonment of the assigned Project(s) shall be an equitable amount determined by the School District and the Environmental Consultant in view of all the facts and circumstances. If, however, the assigned Project(s) is(are) abandoned, the School District shall pay the Environmental Consultant for all Services performed and Reimbursable Expenses incurred to the date of abandonment in accordance with Section 14.1, Termination for Convenience, of this Contract.
