Student/Borrower Certifications and Authorizations. A. I certify that I meet the following eligibility requirements for the MTI Scholarship Program: I am a United States citizen or eligible noncitizen; I am a resident of Illinois; I am a minority student as that term is defined by Ill. Admin. Code tit. 23, §2700.20; I am a high school graduate or a high school equivalency certificate recipient; I am enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a half-time basis at an institution of higher learning; I am enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a course of study which, upon completion, qualifies me to be licensed as a preschool, elementary or secondary school teacher by the Illinois State Board of Education, including licensure as alternative teacher; if enrolled at the sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level, I will maintain a cumulative grade point average of no less than 2.5 on a 4.0 scale while enrolled in a qualifying course of study; I will maintain satisfactory academic progress as determined by the institution; and I am not receiving financial assistance through any other teacher scholarship program listed at Ill. Admin. Code tit. 23, § 2763.20(b) or the Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois Program that is authorized by 110 ILCS 947/52.
