Common use of Subcontractors’ Insurance Clause in Contracts

Subcontractors’ Insurance. The Contractor shall cause each Subcontractor to purchase and maintain in full force and effect policies of insurance as specified in this exhibit, except for coverage limits, which will be agreed upon between the Owner and the Contractor. The Contractor will be responsible for the Subcontractors' coverage if the Subcontractors fail to purchase and maintain the required insurance. When requested by the Owner, the Contractor will furnish copies of certificates of insurance establishing coverage for each Subcontractor.

The Contractor shall cause each Subconsultant and Subcontractor employed by Contractor to purchase and maintain in full force and effect policies insurance of insurance as the amounts and/or type specified in this exhibit, except for herein unless other amounts and/or types of coverage limits, which will are approved by Owner. Owner’s approval shall not be agreed upon between the unreasonably withheld. Contractor shall furnish to Owner and the Contractor. The Contractor will be responsible for the Subcontractors' coverage if the Subcontractors fail to purchase and maintain the required insurance. When requested by the Owner, the Contractor will furnish copies of certificates of insurance establishing evidencing coverage for each Subconsultant and Subcontractor. To the extent that Contractor’s insurance names additional insureds, Subconsultants and Subcontractors’ insurance shall name additional insureds.
