Common use of Sublessee Remediation Clause in Contracts

Sublessee Remediation. Sublessee shall not cause or permit any Hazardous Substance to be spilled or released in, on, under, or about the Subleased Premises (including through the plumbing or sanitary sewer system) and shall promptly, at Sublessee’s sole cost and expense, take all investigatory and/or remedial action reasonably recommended, whether or not formally ordered or required, for the cleanup of any contamination of, and for the maintenance, security and/or monitoring of the Subleased Premises or neighboring properties, that was caused or materially contributed to by Sublessee, or pertaining to or involving any Hazardous Substance brought onto or released in, on or under the Subleased Premises the Subleased Premises by or for Sublessee or Sublessee’s employees, contractors, agents, invitees, licensees or permitted sub-sublessees or assignees. Sublessee shall be solely responsible for the remediation of any condition concerning any Hazardous Substance brought onto or released in, on or under the Subleased Premises by or for Sublessee or Sublessee’s employees, contractors, agents, invitees, licensees or permitted sub-sublessees or assignees.
