Subsequent Effective Dates Clause Samples

The "Subsequent Effective Dates" clause defines when certain provisions or obligations within an agreement will become effective after the initial effective date. Typically, this clause specifies that particular terms, amendments, or renewals will take effect on dates following the original commencement of the contract, such as the start of a new contract year or upon the occurrence of a specified event. Its core practical function is to provide clarity and predictability regarding the timing of contractual changes, ensuring all parties understand when new or modified obligations begin to apply.
Subsequent Effective Dates. Starting with the second effective date for an extension described in § 1.2 (a) there shall be two effective dates for extensions in each year, one of which shall be the second effective date for extensions or an anniversary of such date and the other of which shall be an anniversary of the first effective date for extensions.
