Substantial Completion; Final Completion. The Design Professional, assisted by the Construction Manager and Inspector of Record, shall conduct inspections to determine the date or dates of Substantial Completion and the date or dates of Final Completion. The Design Professional shall generate a Punch List, as needed and requested by the Construction Manager, of all incomplete or unaccepted items of work to assist and facilitate the completion of the Project by the Contractor. The Design Professional shall forward to the Construction Manager all warranties and similar submittals required by the Contract Documents which have been received from the Contractor. The Design Professional shall complete all DSA closeout procedures and requirements, including but not limited to, completion certificates, testing reports, and Change Order approvals. The Design Professional shall provide the District a detailed listing of documents delivered to DSA along with proof of delivery. The Design Professional shall issue a final Project Certificate for Payment upon compliance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Design Professional shall determine and certify the date of Final Completion.

Substantial Completion; Final Completion. CM will manage the issue of certificates of substantial completion to all prime contracts, and the process of closing out contracts financially and with respect to all requirements of the contract drawings and specifications.
Substantial Completion; Final Completion. As used herein, the term “Substantial Completion” means that all of the following have occurred: (i) the Work shall have been fully completed to Owner’s satisfaction in accordance with the Contract Documents, except for Punch-List Work (as defined in Section 10.1 below); (ii) all required approvals and permits allowing the legal occupancy of the Project or use of the Project and all other certificates, permits and/or licenses of any governmental authority having or claiming to have jurisdiction over the Work or operation of the Project shall have been delivered to Owner; and (iii) all mechanical, utility and other system components of the Project are functioning as required by the Contract Documents. . The date of Substantial Completion of the Work shall be determined as set forth in Article 10. All Punch-List Work shall be completed by Contractor as provided in Article 10.

Substantial Completion; Final Completion. 15.4.1 When the Contractor believes that the Work is Substantially Complete, it shall notify the School District in writing. When the School District agrees, it will issue a Certificate of Substantial Completion. Substantial Completion is the stage in the progress of the Work when the construction is sufficiently complete, in accordance with the Contract Documents, so the School District can fully utilize the Work (or the designated portion thereof) for the use for which it is intended. All Work other than incidental corrective or punchlist work and final cleaning shall have been completed. The Work is not Substantially Complete if all systems and parts affected by the Work are not usable or if utilities affected by the Work are not connected and operating normally. The fact that the School District may use or occupy the Work or designated portion thereof does not indicate that the Work is Substantially Complete, nor does such occupation toll or change any liquidated damages due the School District.

Substantial Completion; Final Completion. 6.2.1. The Work shall proceed in general accordance with the Schedule of Work as such schedule may be amended or updated from time to time, subject, however, to other provisions of this Agreement. The Design-Builder will endeavor to meet the Owner’s desired completion date. Costs for acceleration or recovery will be included in the updated Control Estimate and shall be paid by the Owner under this Agreement.
