Common use of Substantive Law Clause in Contracts

Substantive Law. The applicable substantive law shall be the law of the State of Texas or federal law. If both federal and state law speak to a cause of action, the Executive shall have the right to elect his/her choice of law. However, choice of law in no way affects the procedural aspects of the arbitration, which are exclusively governed by the provisions of this Policy.
