Substituting Sick Leave for Annual Leave Clause Samples
The 'Substituting Sick Leave for Annual Leave' clause allows employees to convert days of annual leave into sick leave if they become ill during a scheduled vacation. In practice, this means that if an employee falls sick while on approved annual leave and provides appropriate medical documentation, the affected days are reclassified as sick leave rather than being deducted from their annual leave balance. This clause ensures that employees do not lose their entitled vacation time due to unforeseen illness, thereby protecting their right to rest and recuperate.
Substituting Sick Leave for Annual Leave.
