Common use of Subsurface Borings and Material Testing Clause in Contracts

Subsurface Borings and Material Testing. If tests additional to those provided in Exhibit 1 are necessary for design, the CONSULTANT shall prepare a request for the necessary additional borings and procure at least two proposals, including cost, from Geotechnical firms who engage in providing Subsurface Borings and Testing Services. The CONSULTANT will provide this information to the Client and the Client will contract directly with the Geotechnical firm. The CONSULTANT will not charge an add-on percentage for the Geotechnical firm’s work. The Client will pay the Geotechnical firm separately from this Agreement.
