Summary Suspension. Prior to any disciplinary proceedings under this section, the appointing authority may summarily place any County employee on an immediate suspended status without pay. Such suspensions shall be made only in cases where the employee's continued active duty status might, in the sole opinion of the appointing authority, constitute a hazard to the employee or others, tend to bring the County service into discredit, or prolong acts or omissions of improper employee conduct. If the disciplinary action or suspension is not subsequently ordered and/or affirmed, the employee shall be reinstated in status and restored all pay and fringe benefits lost during such summary suspension.

The Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, or his or her delegate, shall have the authority to summarily suspend, without prior notice, all or any portion of the Physician-in-Training’s appointment and/or privileges granted by the Medical Center, whenever he or she determines, in his or her sole discretion, that the continued appointment of the Physician-in-Training places the safety or health of Medical Center patients or personnel in jeopardy or to prevent imminent or further disruption of Medical Center operations. All summary suspensions shall be reviewed in accordance with the provisions of the Disciplinary and Fair Hearing Procedures.

Summary Suspension. The President, or in their absence any officer of the College designated by the President for this purpose, may impose upon any member of the faculty an interim suspension whenever there is reasonable cause to believe that such person has committed and may reasonably be expected thereafter to continue to commit violent or disruptive acts which disrupt the orderly process of the College. The notice of such suspension shall be in writing and state the nature, terms, and conditions of such suspension, and shall include such restrictions on the use of campus facilities as the President or their designee deems in the best interest of the College. Any person so placed on interim suspension shall be given prompt notice of charges and shall be given the opportunity to show cause at a preliminary hearing why such interim suspension should not continue until a formal hearing is held or for a period of not more than twenty (20) work days, whichever first occurs. To obtain such a preliminary hearing the person so charged shall submit a written request within four (4) work days from the date the interim suspension was imposed. Such written request shall state the address to which the notice of hearing is to be sent. Faculty members requesting a preliminary hearing shall appear before the review committee as defined in Article II.

The review committee shall convene a preliminary hearing not later than five (5) workdays from the date of receipt of such request and shall immediately mail a written notice of the time, place and date of such hearing to the person so charged. A preliminary hearing shall consider only whether there is reasonable cause to believe that such a person may reasonably be expected thereafter to commit violent or disruptive acts which disrupt the orderly process of the College.
2. In a case where the review committee finds that just cause has been demonstrated to initiate an interim suspension, the hearing committee shall schedule a formal hearing which must be held within twenty (20) calendar days from the date of receipt of the recommendation of the review committee which heard the preliminary hearing. Notice of the formal hearing shall immediately be mailed to the person so charged stating the time, place and date of such formal hearing.

KMC or the Program director or the Designated Institutional Official, or their designees, each shall have the authority to summarily suspend, without prior notice, all or any portion of Resident’s appointment granted by KMC, whenever it is in good faith determined that the continued appointment of Resident places the safety or health of KMC patients or personnel in jeopardy or to prevent imminent or further disruption of KMC operations. All summary suspensions shall be reviewed in accordance with the fair hearing process set forth in Exhibit “B.”

The Chief Academic Officer and/or the Designated Institutional Official shall have the authority to summarily suspend, without prior notice, all or any portion of the Resident's appointment and/or privileges granted by the Foundation, whenever it is in good faith determined that the continued appointment of the Resident places the safety or health of Foundation patients or personnel in jeopardy or to prevent imminent or further disruption of Foundation operations.
Summary Suspension. The Designated Institutional Official (DIO), or his/her designee, shall have the authority to summarily suspend from the Program, without prior notice, all or any portion of Trainee's appointment and responsibilities at City of Hope whenever the DIO or designee determine, in his/her sole discretion, that the continued appointment of Trainee places the safety or health of City of Hope patients or personnel in jeopardy, or to prevent imminent or further disruption of City of Hope operations.
Summary Suspension. Your access to and use of the Services may be monitored by the Exchange for its own purposes and not for your benefit. ErisX may, in its sole discretion, with or without cause, suspend, terminate or restrict at any time your access to and use of the Services.
