Common use of Supplemental State-Local Agreements Clause in Contracts

Supplemental State-Local Agreements. The Supplemental Agreement process facilitates amending or supplementing agreements, typically to add project funding or phases. This is accomplished through Supplemental Schedule As and Supplemental Schedule Bs under a brief Supplemental Agreement Cover describing changes to the original SLA and bearing the required signatures and approvals needed to constitute a contract amendment. Supplemental Agreements follow the same contract approval process as the original agreement but generally without the need to revisit all of the terms and attachments in the original. Depending on the scope of the prior local resolution(s), an additional resolution may or may not be required. Because Sponsors typically authorize funding in conjunction with the project phase being contracted, additional resolutions, however, are the norm.
