Supplier Corrective Action. Where problems or deficiencies are identified as provided for in this Section 9 and Section 10 below, JDSU may issue SCAR to Supplier. Supplier shall promptly reply to a SCAR, and take immediate corrective action acceptable to JDSU to prevent the recurrence of any and all deficiencies or problems identified in such SCAR. Supplier shall notify JDSU as soon as a deficiency or problem identified in a SCAR is corrected.

A Corrective Action Request will be used by Recovery Engineering, Inc.'s Quality Group to notify suppliers of nonconformance and to obtain documentation as to the cause of the discrepancy and the corrective action taken by the supplier. If a score of 3 or less is received on the Quality Audit Survey, the supplier must provide a corrective action plan for improvement. Suppliers are responsible for detailing the reason for the nonconformance, a statement of corrective action taken to prevent the noncomformance from recurring, and the effective date. The form will be reissued if specific corrective action is not specified.

Upon notice from Purchaser of any deficiency in supplier’s quality system, product or service, the Supplier will provide documented corrective action(s) to prevent future deviations from the specification or quality system requirement. • Upon Purchaser request, the Supplier will provide to the Purchaser’s Supplier Quality team the established SCAR document and all supporting documents pertaining to the specific problem/defect description (including similar product), containment actions performed, and initial investigation performed.
