Common use of Suspension of Works Clause in Contracts

Suspension of Works. The Contractor shall on receipt of the order in writing of the Engineer-in-charge suspend the process of the works or any part thereof for such time and in such manner, as the Engineer-in- charge may consider necessary for and of the following reasons. i) On account of any default on part of the Contractor or ii) For proper execution of the works or part thereof for reasons other than the default of the Contractor; or iii) For safety of the works or part thereof.

Suspension of Works. The Contractor shall on receipt the order of the order in writing of the Engineer-in-charge Engineer suspend the process progress of the works or any part thereof for such time or times and in such manner, manner as the Engineer-in- charge Engineer may consider necessary and shall during such suspension properly protect and (a) Provided for and of in the following reasons. i) On account of any default on part of the Contractor contract, or ii(b) For Necessary for the proper execution of the works or by the reason of weather conditions or by some default on the part thereof for reasons other than the default of the Contractor; , and or iii(c) For Necessary for the safety of the works or any part thereof.
