System Improvements. New Corridor Study Needs. In order to preserve opportunities for new corridors and extension/expansion of existing corridors, studies are recommended to be completed to identify alignments and right-of-way requirements. These studies are to be carried out cooperatively between the County, Township, and other governmental entities as may be required. Study candidates are illustrated on Figure 6.3-1. The Township shall participate in the following corridor studies: 1) CSAH 2; 2) CSAH 6; 3) CSAH 4.

The City will participate in the following corridor studies: 1) CSAH 4; 2) CSAH 1; 3) Xxxxxx Avenue/CSAH 34/CSAH 9. The City shall provide written notification to the County Engineer when forthcoming development will incorporate new alignment and right-of-way. The City recognizes that a corridor study may require 3 months to initiate and 6 to 18 months to complete, depending on complexity.
System Improvements. (i) Xxx Xxxxxxx Road. Beaufort County’s Capital Improvement Program includes acknowledges the need for future improvements to Xxx Xxxxxxx Road to accommodate new development and improved pedestrian access; and Impact Fees are the major revenue source for costs incurred by the County for such improvements. As depicted in the Unified Development Plan, the Owner has proposed and obtained completed the design and engineering of a round-a-bout to access the Property directly from Xxx Xxxxxxx Road. The engineering plans for the round-a-bout, prepared by Xxxxx & Xxxxx, Inc., are attached hereto as Exhibit “D” (the “Xxx Xxxxxxx Road Round-a-bout”). The Xxx Xxxxxxx Road Round-a-bout also benefits Xxxxxx Xxxxx Park by providing an improved entrance, an adjacent fire station, and other nearby residential developments. Also as depicted in the Unified Development Plan, the Property is accessed by Cherokee Farms Road (S-83). Owner shall improve Cherokee Farms Road with the addition of on-street parking, street landscaping and trees, and such improvements shall be constructed in accordance with the standards contained in the Cherokee Farms Conceptual Master Plan. All such improvements (the “Cherokee Farms Road Improvements”) shall adhere to applicable road and right-of-way construction standards. To the extent that all or any portion of Cherokee Farms Road is not owned by the County or the State of South Carolina, the same shall be dedicated to and accepted by the County.Owner shall assign to the County the engineering plans and any rights thereto, as well as fee title for any portion of the real property it owns, which portion is reasonably necessary or appropriate for the construction of the Xxx Xxxxxxx Road Round-a-bout. Construction of the Xxx Xxxxxxx Road Round-a-bout shall occur as set forth in Article IX (C) (iv)(a) below.

Buyer shall give Seller timely notice of Xxxxx’s intent to acquire each Buyer Non-Shared Resource and regular progress reports so as to allow Seller sufficient time to make such system modifications and reinforcements as may be necessary in order to utilize the capabilities and capacity and to receive the output of each Buyer Non-Shared Resource consistent with the provisions of this Section 8.3 and Seller’s OATT, to the extent applicable. No such Non-Shared Resource shall be connected to the Combined System until such necessary system modifications and reinforcements have been made, and, additionally, Seller may require Buyer to provide and install such system protection and control equipment as Seller deems appropriate, consistent with Good Utility Practice, to protect the security and integrity of the Combined System. Buyer shall promptly provide Seller with written notice and a detailed description of each Buyer Non-Shared Resource and all information reasonably requested by Seller, including information on the availability and operating characteristics of the Buyer Non-Shared Resource.

Additional system improvement and capacity needs are illustrated in Figure 4.4-2 that are needed to implement the full future transportation system vision in urbanizing and rural areas.
