Common use of Taking Rest Periods Clause in Contracts

Taking Rest Periods. Employees shall be allowed to take their rest periods and meal periods as regularly scheduled. Employees not wishing to take rest periods will observe lunch periods as scheduled and work their regularly assigned schedule, except in extraordinary circumstances as determined by the immediate supervisor. Rest periods may not be used to extend an employee’s lunch period nor may they be used to adjust the starting or ending time of an employee’s workday.
