Teachers recommended for non. renewal due to late hire shall be guaranteed an interview for the position from which they were non-renewed, if the position is posted as a vacancy for the following school year. All such teachers shall be considered external applicants for all other vacancies and not guaranteed an interview. The Department of Human Resources, with the approval of the Superintendent, has final authority as to which teachers to recommend to the Board of Education. The Department of Human Resources, with the approval of the Superintendent, will have the final authority to recommend to the Board the teacher to be placed in the vacancy. The Department of Human Resources will inform and discuss with the principals and supervisors the needs of the employee in this area.
