Technical Working Group. 1. Where a matter covered under this Chapter cannot be clarified or resolved through the focal points, the Parties may, with mutual consent, agree to establish a technical working group with a view to identifying a workable and practical solution that would facilitate trade. Where a Party declines a request from the other Party to establish such working group, it shall, upon request, explain its reasons to the other Party. Such working group shall comprise representatives of both Parties, responsible for sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
Technical Working Group. The Technical Working group would feed into the Industry Working Body to provide independent expert advice on technical standards, software and methodologies.
Technical Working Group. It is anticipated that the Stakeholder Committee and the Implementation Committee will often need to rely on a network of resources when making recommendations for species and habitat enhancement. To provide guidance on technical issues and to help assess conservation priorities and science needs into the future, a network of technical experts will be identified. These representatives can be, but are not limited to, staff from the following agencies, institutions, or organizations: • United States Geological Survey; • New Mexico Office of the State Engineer/New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission; • United States Army Corp of Engineers; • Bureau of Reclamation; • National Park Service; • New Mexico Department of Game and Fish; • Texas Parks and Wildlife Department; • Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts; • New Mexico State Land Office; • New Mexico public or private colleges or universities; • Texas public or private colleges or universities; • CID technical staff; • Scientists, either individually or within an organization, experienced with any of the Covered Species; and, • Where an issue involves, directly or indirectly, industry sectors enrolled in this CCA, technical professionals such as engineers, scientists, and/or consultants familiar with a particular issue. From time to time, it may be necessary to form an ad-hoc Technical Working Group to develop a solution or set of recommendations for a particular issue. It is the intent of this CCA that should a Technical Working Group be formed to review, study, and develop solutions to address a particular issue, the Technical Working Group shall provide a written report on its activities to the Stakeholder Committee and Implementation Committee, and that it shall dissolve shortly after a solution or set of recommendations is developed and communicated. Because it is not possible to conceive of every issue that may be encountered in the implementation of the CCA and CCAA, a representation or voting structure for a Technical Working Group is not defined by this CCA. However, nothing in this CCA precludes the Technical working group members from establishing a representation or voting structure when a Technical Working Group is formed. It is also the intent of this CCA, that Technical Working Groups will work closely with the Implementation Committee, as deemed necessary, to ensure full consideration of the impacts of a particular solution or set of recommendations. A Technical Work Group will be convened ...

During Phase 1, the members of the Technical Working Group will meet and discuss the proposed Caribou Recovery Related Land Use Objectives with a view to reaching consensus on appropriate measures (or a range of appropriate measures) and next steps. Once the Technical Working Group has agreed to the measures (or range of appropriate measures), the Technical Working Group may submit the proposed measures and related information to an independent expert with recognized qualifications in caribou recovery for peer review and comment.
Technical Working Group. At the discretion of the Province, the Parties agree to establish a project technical working group to be comprised of members from the Project and the Province of Nova Scotia. The role of this group will be to provide guidance and oversight of this project as well as ensuring adherence to expected project outcomes. If the Province determines that the technical working group is to be formed, the proponent will be notified, and a meeting scheduled. At the initial meeting, the following should be determined: technical working group terms of reference, meeting frequency, and the identification of technical working group leads for both the Project and the Province of Nova Scotia.

The contractor is responsible for identifying individuals to serve, with consultation from the COR, and will be responsible for contacting and convening the TWG throughout the research process. The contractor will draft for NEA review and approval guidelines outlining roles, duration of service, the meeting cadence, and expectations from the TWG participants. The final TWG roster and guidelines represent the deliverable (Deliverable #5). The Contractor shall send invitations to prospective TWG members, clearly communicating expected involvement, tenure, and time commitment. The Contractor shall convene the first meeting of the TWG virtually to review the draft research plan (see Task #3). At this initial meeting, the contractor will review the guidelines; will present and discuss the research plan and findings from the literature scan. The NEA recommends that the contractor pay a stipend of $500 per meeting to TWG members, but the contractor is responsible for the final decision on compensation. Correspondence with prospective members shall be reviewed by the COR prior to sending.
