TEMPORARY VENTILATION. The Contractor shall provide and maintain adequate temporary ventilation for the performance of Work required by this specification in all areas where ventilation is required. Pneumatic / Electric Pumps – The Contractor shall provide and maintain adequate portable pumps for the performance of Work required by this specification in all areas where portable pumps may be required. This shall include the supply of electricity and/or compressed air, system/discharge hoses and fluid removal. Sewage Pumping and Disposal – As a part of the securing of the system at the FMF, DOT will pump out the sewage tanks to loss of suction. However, there might be circumstances where the Contractor is directed to pump out the vessel’s sewage tanks. In those instances, the Contractor shall furnish all shore side pumping equipment, storage and disposal facilities. The Contractor, shall pump the sewage tanks and dispose of sewage in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, as directed by DOT. Any such pump out will be reimbursed through Item U301 – Additional Labor, Material, Technical Representatives, and Subcontracted Services.  The vessel’s sewage system will be secured by DOT prior to vessel departure from the Ferry Maintenance Facility (FMF). The Contractor shall ensure that the vessel’s sewage system remains secured and inoperable for the duration of the shipyard period.  Under no circumstances will the vessel’s restroom facilities be used by Contractor personnel at any time during the shipyard period. The Contractor shall provide and maintain sanitary facilities in close proximity to the vessel. If required, portable toilets will be provided adjacent to the vessel. Such toilets, or any other sanitary facility, shall be maintained in a sanitary condition and shall be cleaned on a daily basis. Heat Lamps – The Contractor shall install and maintain infrared heating lamps/strips on all propulsion motors, propulsion generators, ship’s service generators, emergency generators, vital service generators, and propulsion drive cabinets at any time when designated by DOT. When directed to do so for a particular shipyard period, lamps shall be installed immediately upon vessel’s arrival. Heat lamps shall be separately powered from a pier-side power source.   • Ventilation Where noxious or poisonous gases may accumulate, the City shall provide proper protection and ventilation. Proper lighting and ventilation shall be provided for all enclosed working spaces. All work in enclosed and confined spaces shall be performed in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Spray painting shall be done only by qualified painters.

  • Heating The Hirer shall ensure that no unauthorised heating appliances shall be used on the premises when open to the public without the consent of the management committee. Portable Liquefied Propane Gas (LPG) heating appliances shall not be used.

  • Lighting A system of fixtures providing or controlling the light sources used on or near the airport or within the airport buildings. The field lighting includes all luminous signals, markers, floodlights, and illuminating devices used on or near the airport or to aid in the operation of aircraft landing at, taking off from, or taxiing on the airport surface.

  • HVAC A. Heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment will be provided with sufficient capacity to accommodate a maximum population density of one (1) person per one hundred fifty (150) square feet of useable floor area served, and a combined lighting and standard electrical load of 3.0 xxxxx per square foot of useable floor area. In the event Tenant introduces into the Premises personnel or equipment which overloads the system’s ability to adequately perform its proper functions, Landlord shall so notify Tenant in writing and supplementary system(s) may be required and installed by Landlord at Tenant’s expense, if within fifteen (15) days Tenant has not modified its use so as not to cause such overload. Operating criteria of the basic system shall not be less than the following:

  • Plumbing fixtures and appliances shall be used only for the purposes for which designed, and no sweepings, rubbish, rags or other unsuitable material shall be thrown or deposited therein. Damage resulting to any such fixtures or appliances from misuse by a tenant or its agents, employees or invitees, shall be paid by such tenant.

  • Electrical Provide drawings for the following systems:

  • Electrical Safety Only UL approved items are permitted in Housing & Residence Life. Extension and multi-use cords must be heavy duty, single plug, and be UL approved. Altering or adapting electrical outlets and equipment and overloading circuits jeopardize safety and thus are not permitted.

  • Toilets Papers, dust, cobwebs, peels, cans/bottles, cigarette butts, excrement on floor, bad smells, water pools, leaking sewage, rodents, animals (dead or alive), overflowing sanitary bins. 0 = NOT APPLICABLE 1 = UNACCEPTABLE (Toilets out of order. Toilets not cleaned on daily basis.) 2 = POOR (Toilets cleaned, but still visible signs of dirt, e.g. dust, cobwebs.) 3 = GOOD (Obvious sign that toilets are cleaned daily.) 4 = EXCELLENT (Extra effort is put in to ensure cleanliness, e.g. using detergents.)

  • Elevators Landlord shall provide passenger elevator service during normal business hours to Tenant in common with Landlord and all other tenants. Landlord shall provide limited passenger service at other times, except in case of an emergency.
