Common use of Tenure of Lease Clause in Contracts

Tenure of Lease. (See also Clause 1.3 of the Lease Agreement) 5.1 The Landlord will, within three (3) calendar months before the end of the Tenure of Lease, contact the Tenant/Occupant with regards to the following: 5.1.1 The impending expiry of the Tenure of lease and whether the Landlord wants a renewal Lease Agreement or not; and 5.1.2 The material amendments applicable to the Lease Agreement if the Landlord is willing to renew it and the Tenant/Occupant accepts it with a new renewal contract or if the Tenant/Occupant stays in occupation of the Property without accepting it; and 5.1.3 Upon receipt of the mentioned notice, and if applicable, the Tenant/Occupant may notify the Landlord in writing that the Lease Agreement will terminate at the end of the Tenure of lease or that he accepts the material amendments. 5.1.4 The Lease Agreement will automatically be terminated at the end of the Tenure of lease. 5.1.5 If no notice is received by the Tenant/Occupant as stipulated above, the Lease Agreement will automatically be terminated at the end of the tenure of lease and the noncompliance of this clause by the Landlord will not give ground to the Tenant/Occupant to demand renewal of lease.
