Common use of Term of Office, Resignation and Removal Clause in Contracts

Term of Office, Resignation and Removal. An officer shall hold office for the term for which he or she is elected or appointed and until his or her successor is elected or appointed, or until his or her resignation or removal. An officer may resign by written notice to the Corporation. The resignation is effective on its receipt by the Corporation or at a subsequent time specified in the notice of resignation. An officer may be removed by the Board with or without cause. The removal of an officer shall be without prejudice to his or her contract rights, if any. The election or appointment of an officer does not of itself create contract rights.
