Common use of Terminal Allowance/Severance Pay Clause in Contracts

Terminal Allowance/Severance Pay. Failing the availability of a position considered suitable for the employee in question by both the Employer and the employee, the employee shall be entitled to the following after the six (6) month period or upon earlier termination if the employee so elects. It is agreed that the separation allowance outlined in this Collective Agreement incorporates severance pay but not notice as provided under the Employment Standards Act.
