Common use of TERMINATION BY GRANTEE Clause in Contracts

TERMINATION BY GRANTEE. Grantee may terminate this Agreement effective upon delivery of written notice of termination to CJC, or at such later date as may be established by Grantee in such written notice, if: i. After conferring with CJC, Grantee has determined that the requisite local funding to continue the Project is unavailable to Grantee or Grantee is unable to continue implementation of the Project as a result of circumstances not reasonably anticipated by Grantee at the time it executed this Agreement and that are beyond Grantee’s reasonable control; or ii. Federal or state laws, rules, regulations or guidelines are modified or interpreted in such a way that the Project is no longer allowable or no longer eligible for funding under this Agreement.
