Common use of Termination for Convenience of the Government (Without Cause) Clause in Contracts

Termination for Convenience of the Government (Without Cause). Regents may at any time, and for any reason or without any reason or cause, terminate this contract by written notice to the Consultant specifying the termination date, provided that in the event of termination under this provision Regents shall pay to the Consultant all fees properly due (i) for services already properly performed prior to the effective date of the termination and (ii) for all reimbursable expenses properly incurred. In the event of such termination the Consultant shall have no claim in excess of what is allowed in this Article 8.1 for any sum of money, however denominated, as a result of or relating to such termination.
