Common use of Termination of Redundant Members Clause in Contracts

Termination of Redundant Members. In the event that the Chief Academic Officer decides to terminate the employment of a redundant Member, the following provision for notice and/or pay shall apply: • Members with fewer than twelve Years of Service at the time the written termination notice is received will receive at least ten months of notice (i.e., the employment end date will be at least ten months after the date the termination notice is received). On the employment end date the Member will receive, as part of his/her final pay, an amount equal to two months’ salary as well as payment for all vacation accrued up to the employment end date. The College may give pay in lieu of all or part of the ten months’ notice. • Members with twelve or more Years of Service at the time the written termination notice is received will receive at least two months of notice (i.e., the employment end date will be at least two months after the date the termination notice is received). On the employment end date the Member will receive, as part of his/her final pay, payment for all vacation accrued up to the employment end date as well as an amount equal to twelve months’ salary.
