Terrorist Organization Sample Clauses
The 'Terrorist Organization' clause defines what constitutes a terrorist organization for the purposes of the agreement. Terrorist Organization. Texas Government Code 2252 – Contracting with Governmental Entities prohibits governmental entities from contracting with Iran, Sudan, or any known terrorist organization. The District will review the Texas Comptroller website list of companies known to have contracts with or provide supplies or services to a foreign terrorist organization.
Terrorist Organization. For purposes of Subchapter F of Chapter 2252 of the Texas Government Code, at the time of execution and delivery of this Agreement, neither the Contractor, nor any wholly owned subsidiary, majority-owned subsidiary, parent company or affiliate of the Contractor, (i) engages in business with Iran, Sudan or any foreign terrorist organization as described in Chapters 806 or 807 of the Texas Government Code, or Subchapter F of Chapter 2252 of the Texas Government Code, or (ii) is a company listed by the Texas Comptroller under Sections 806.051, 807.051 or 2252.153 of the Texas Government Code. The term “foreign terrorist organization” as used herein has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 2252.151 of the Texas Government Code.
Terrorist Organization. The Escrow Agent represents that neither it nor any of its respective parent companies, wholly- or majority-owned subsidiaries, and other affiliates is a company identified on a list prepared and maintained by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts under Section 2252.153 or Section 2270.0201, Texas Government Code, and posted on any of the following pages of such officer’s internet website: ▇▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/purchasing/docs/sudan-list.pdf, ▇▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/purchasing/docs/iran-list.pdf, or ▇▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/purchasing/docs/fto-list.pdf. The foregoing representation is made solely to comply with Section 2252.152, Texas Government Code, and to the extent such Section does not contravene applicable Federal law and exclude the Escrow Agent and each of its parent company, wholly- or majority-owned subsidiaries, and other affiliates, if any, that the United States government has affirmatively declared to be excluded from its federal sanctions regime relating to Sudan or Iran or any federal sanctions regime relating to a foreign terrorist organization. The Escrow Agent understands “affiliate” to mean any entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Escrow Agent and exists to make a profit.
