Test Strip. A test strip shall be placed with job site materials and approved by the Engineer. The weather and time of day, day or night, during the test strip shall be similar to expected conditions during construction. Upon completion of the test strip the Engineer will approve the mixture for proper curing and placement.
(A) Latex Modified Microsurfacing Type will be measured along the top surface of the completed work, placed and accepted as specified herein. Payment will be made at the contract unit price per square yard for the type specified, which price will be full compensation for all materials including modifiers and additives, emulsion, aggregate, tack coat, labor, tools, equipment, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work.
(B) Latex Modified Emulsion will be measured and paid at the contract unit price per gallon, which price will be full compensation for all materials including modifiers and additives, tack coat, labor, tools, equipment, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Rut filling will be measured and paid at the contract unit price per gallon for Latex Modified Emulsion and at the contract unit price per ton of Aggregate, Type III. Payment will be full compensation for all materials including modifiers and additives, tack coat, mineral filler, labor, tools, equipment, maintenance of traffic, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work.
(C) When the contract includes the item of Removal of Pavement Marking Lines, the work of removing pavement marking lines will be measured and paid in accordance with Article 1205-10 of the 2012 Standard Specifications. When the contract includes the item of Removal of Pavement Marking Symbols & Characters, the work of removing pavement marking symbols and characters will be measured and paid in accordance with Article 1205-10 of the 2012 Standard
(D) When the contract includes the item of Removal of Pavement Marking Lines, Symbols & Characters, the work of removing pavement marking lines, symbols and characters will be paid at the contract lump sum price for this item. Microsurfacing will be measured and paid by either (A) or (B) as described herein. Removal of Pavement Marking Lines, Symbols & Characters will be paid by either (C) or (D) as described herein. Payment will be made under: Latex Modified Microsurfacing Type Square Yard Latex Modified Emulsion Gallon Aggregate, Type Ton Removal of Pavement Marking Lines, Symbols & Characters Lump Sum
Test Strip. The Compaction ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Engineer will evaluate the densities obtained with the various roller combinations to determine the initial approved rolling procedure on a test strip. The test strip will remain in place as part of the completed work.
Test Strip. THE FOLLOWING IS ADDED AT THE END OF THE FIRST PARAGRAPH:
Test Strip. Before the rubblization operations begin, the Engineer will designate a test section of approximately 500 feet by 12 feet. The Contractor shall rubblize the test section using varying degrees of energy and/or various striking heights until a procedure is established that will rubblize the pavement to the required extent as contained in these specifications. A 3 foot by 12 foot test pit shall be excavated for the full depth of the rubblized pavement in the middle of the test strip, at a location selected by the Engineer, to determine that the breaker is producing pieces of the specified sizes as contained in these specifications. The rubblized particle sizes shall be checked throughout the entire depth of the pavement. The Engineer may require additional test pits. The test pit material shall be removed from the project and the hole filled using dense graded aggregate base course as determined by the Engineer. The replacement material shall be placed and properly compacted by the Contractor.
Test Strip. Construct a test strip of the BDWSC at a location agreed upon with the RE. Ensure that the tack coat or prime coat has been placed as specified in 555.03.01.

Test Strip. At least 14 days prior to production of the HPTO, construct a test strip as specified in 401.03.03.C except for the allowance to continue paving. Submit test strip results to the RE. The RE will analyze the test strip results in conjunction with the ME’s results from the HMA plant to approve the test strip. Do not proceed with production paving until receiving written permission from the RE.
Test Strip. Construct a test strip of at least 100 feet in length on the roadway before initial placement commences as specified in 422.03.01.C.
