Testing and Validation. The Provider will develop and oversee the implementation of a test plan and test scripts to be executed by the District's Project Team for the new PBF System. Testing will include all aspects of the Project, including: Testing. Functional, integration and stress acceptance testing. Documentation of Budgeting Procedures. Documentation of business processes for end-user to use as part of operating procedures.
Testing and Validation. This includes time for creation of the validation plan that is provided to Genta after user requirements sign-off, creation of test scripts, functional testing (de-bugging) and the associated documentation, formal testing and the associated documentation, and developing the final validation report. User Acceptance Testing (UAT). This refers to the time it takes to support Genta’s team during system testing. There are three levels of support that are detailed below. • Moderate UAT Support. ICON provides detailed, high-level test scripts to serve as a guide for Genta to navigate through the system. ICON will input set-up data as required by the test scripts. Please note that each of the UAT support categories listed above assumes a certain amount of hours will be required. Upon depletion of those hours, each additional hour in excess of the original amount will be billed to Genta on a time and materials basis. Initial Data Loads. This includes time for site/user loading into the system, randomization and pack list loading. This also includes time for QC of this data.
Testing and Validation. After the completion of the integration step, the results are tested and validated. The tests are performed using an incremental approach: starting from the basic functional requirements and progressing to the more complex non-functional ones. The respective test beds are extended progressively too. Some of the tests involve direct human interactions; therefore they take a significant amount of time. In fact these are integration tests (as explained in the previous paragraph) and the complexity of an infrastructure with distributed components requires careful supervision. Another important outcome of the test phase is a good estimation of the resource consumption of the tested service. This information is then provided as input for the operational team. The service’s abilities to recover from hardware failures are also evaluated during the testing activity. Once the tests are successful, the tested service is validated by the EUDAT core communities. Obviously the whole test process does not proceed in a completely linear manner as in the previous description. There is an ongoing exchange of information between the core communities and the service building task force. For example, if an important vulnerability is discovered during the tests by a pilot user, that is reported back to the group working on the integration part. They will evaluate whether it is possible to create a patch, or whether it is necessary to update the design by changing one or more components. In this way, the evaluation runs in parallel with the other steps of the process. The final evaluation determines whether to promote the candidate service to a fully supported EUDAT service. However if the evaluation is positive, a further step is needed before handing the service over to the operational team, namely the creation of a complete product, as explained in the following section.
Testing and Validation. The testing has been carried out following predefined guidelines, using different profiles e.g. administrator/innovator/non-registered user, with a variety of permits and links to separate active email accounts. The performed battery of tests consisted of:  Test 1: Sign up to the Climate Innovation Window  Test 2: Check that a non-registered user can search for innovations and have easy access to a shortened description of innovations. This user should not be allowed to post comments either to follow an innovation or to share a new innovation.  Test 3: Adding innovations into the platform. Check the procedure to submit innovations, as well as the processtoapprove or edit these innovations before publishing  Test 4: Check that a registered user can search for innovations and access to the complete description of innovations. This user should be allowed to post comments, follow an innovation or to share a new innovation.  Test 5: Search function
