Texas Tax Code Clause Samples
The Texas Tax Code clause establishes the legal framework for taxation within the state of Texas, outlining the rules, procedures, and obligations related to state and local taxes. It governs how taxes such as property, sales, franchise, and other state-imposed levies are assessed, collected, and enforced. For example, it may specify deadlines for tax payments, exemptions for certain entities, or penalties for non-compliance. The core practical function of this clause is to ensure consistent and lawful administration of taxes, providing clarity and predictability for both taxpayers and government authorities.
