The Department of Law Clause Samples

The 'Department of Law' clause defines the specific governmental or organizational body responsible for overseeing legal matters related to the agreement. In practice, this clause identifies which department will handle legal compliance, interpretation, or enforcement issues that may arise under the contract. By clearly designating the Department of Law as the authoritative entity, the clause ensures that all parties know where to direct legal inquiries or disputes, thereby streamlining communication and reducing ambiguity regarding legal oversight.
The Department of Law. Civil Division does not normally have the authority or responsibility for instituting, conducting or disposing of criminal proceedings.
