Common use of The Guarantor Clause in Contracts

The Guarantor. In signing this document, the Guarantor guarantees all payments of rent, any other obligations under this Agreement, and any other payments due to the Landlord which the Tenant is required to pay under this Agreement, and liability continues in respect of any payment due but not paid even after the termination of this Agreement or any alteration to this Agreement. The Guarantor acknowledges that as a guarantor he/she has no rights to occupy the Let Property and confirms that he/she has made full and true disclosure of all information sought by the Landlord in connection with the granting of this tenancy. Additionally, he/she; • confirms that he/she has not knowingly or carelessly made any false or misleading statements (whether written or oral) which might affect the Landlord's decision to grant the tenancy; • confirms that he/she is jointly and severally liable for all costs payable by the Tenants in terms of this Agreement including but not limited to rent, household bills and any damage that is caused either deliberately or accidentally by the Tenant or their visitors; • agrees to pay on demand and in full any overdue rent or other monies lawfully due under this Agreement for the full term of the Agreement; • understands this document has legal consequences and that he/she has been advised to seek independent legal advice before signing it.
