The Right to Repair. ‌ 6.1 The Council is required to carry out certain urgent repairs within specified time limits and if the tenant notifies the Council that the contractor has failed to carry out the repair within the set time limit, the Council will instruct a second contractor to carry out the work. It is also your responsibility to ensure that you are in on the time/date agreed with the contractor for them to access your property.‌
