Common use of The Role of Xxxx Clause in Contracts

The Role of Xxxx. (a) The Xxxx shall prepare a written assessment of the candidate, including a recommendation concerning renewal, tenure and/or promotion. (b) In making their recommendation, the Xxxx shall take into account the material considered by the Department in preparing its assessment and the Department’s recommendation. The Xxxx’x assessment and recommendation may be prepared in consultation with the Department Chairperson after the Department’s recommendation has been submitted. (c) A copy of the Xxxx’x assessment and recommendation shall be made available to the candidate normally within two (2) weeks of the Department’s final report, but in no case later than one week before the University Review Committee is scheduled to review the case. The candidate shall be provided an opportunity to respond in writing to the Xxxx’x recommendation and to submit a copy of this response to the University Review Committee.
