Theft or Damage Clause Samples
The 'Theft or Damage' clause defines the responsibilities and procedures in the event that property covered by the agreement is stolen or damaged. Typically, this clause outlines which party bears the risk of loss, the steps to be taken following an incident (such as notification and documentation), and any obligations regarding repair, replacement, or insurance claims. Its core function is to allocate risk and clarify the parties' duties, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring a clear process for handling losses due to theft or damage.
Theft or Damage. The University is not responsible for theft or damage to cars, bicycles, motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, or any other vehicle, or any contents stored on or within them.
Theft or Damage. Landlord is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to Tenant's property, nor for injury or damage caused by ▇▇▇▇▇▇'s use of the Premises. Landlord does not carry any insurance for Tenant's interest or ▇▇▇▇▇▇'s property.
Theft or Damage. It is the responsibility of the student or staff member to insure the safety of their own mobile device:
a) The school accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged mobile devices.
b) The school accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of a student's mobile device while traveling to or from school, or during school sanctioned events/trips.
c) It is the responsibility of the student to secure their devices against loss. We suggest they ▇▇▇▇ their device with their name (physically or electronically), and conceal the device from view so as not to “advertise” they have them.
d) We urge parents and/or students to insure their mobile devices for theft and damage..
Theft or Damage. Boulder Street Moto is not responsible for damage to, or theft of, any member’s personal property to include, but not limited to, motorcycles, tools, parts, or supplies. The garage is an unsupervised workspace, and all members use it at their own risk.

Lockers should use school provided locks • Mobile devices that are found in the school and whose owner cannot be located should be handed to the school office • Antonine College accepts no responsibility for replacing lost, stolen or damaged mobile devices • It is strongly advised that students use passwords/pin numbers to ensure that unauthorised phone calls cannot be made on their phones (eg by other students, or if stolen). Mobile devices and/or passwords should not be shared • If a mobile phone is lost or stolen, parents and students are advised to report the loss/theft to their mobile carrier so that they can de-activate the SIM card and block the device
Theft or Damage. If the Dredge is stolen or disappears, Lessee shall forthwith notify the appropriate local authorities and Lessor. If the Dredge is stolen or disappears, or is destroyed or so damaged that it cannot economically be placed in good working order, the Lease shall terminate and the resulting expense shall be borne as elsewhere provided in this agreement. Lessor shall have the right to verify such damage at its option.
