TIMELINESS OF PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS. The Contractor shall respond to the Contracting Officer’s Request for Proposal by the due date indicated on the RFP. If the Contractor is unable to meet the required due date, the Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer in writing no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the proposal due date requesting a proposal extension and provide an estimated date when the Contracting Officer will be in receipt of the Contractor’s proposal. Requests for proposal time extension must adequately explain the reason why the Contractor is unable to respond by the required date. Approvals of requests for proposal time extensions are at the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
