Traffic Control Design. Consultant shall prepare Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TCP), and details in accordance with ODOT Traffic Control Standards and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Through the TCP, Consultant shall address the needs and control of the road users, motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. Consultant shall develop construction staging sequencing for all construction phases to maintain traffic through the project corridor during construction to use for estimating traffic control bid items. The plans must include as applicable construction signing, temporary striping, pavement markings and barrier placement. Consultant shall prepare project-specific special provisions and construction cost estimate associated with the TCP plan development. These special provisions shall include lane closure time restrictions which minimize disruption to businesses and nearby residents and are approved by the City.
